What is the official name of the show?

The official name of the show is the 2019 Georgia Bio Innovation Summit.  Previously the event was called the Georgia Life Sciences Summit.

How many years has the Georgia Bio Innovation Summit run?

2019 will be the 18th Annual Summit. The only year the conference did not take place was in 2009 when the 2009 Biotechnology Industry Organization held its annual International Convention of which Georgia Bio was a local host.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received by August 16, 2019 will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. After that date, no refunds will be awarded. All cancellations must be sent in writing to Georgia Bio at Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure.

Georgia Bio is not responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by participants in the event of conference or registration cancellation.

Please note, in the event that the 2019 Georgia Bio Innovation Summit is abbreviated or canceled because of circumstances beyond Georgia Bio’s control including, but not limited to, civil disturbance, earthquake, electrical outage, explosion, fire, freight embargo, strike or labor unrest, flood, hurricane, tornado, or other acts of God, an act of war, terrorism, or the act of any government (de facto or de jure), or any government agency or official, Georgia Bio reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to unilaterally terminate the conference. In these circumstances, the registrant expressly agrees to waive any claim he, she may have against Georgia Bio for damages or compensation, including but not limited to fees for registration, housing, airfare and/or incidental charges.

Yes! Your registration is deeply discounted - please visit the registration page for details. But remember YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR IDENTIFICATION UPON CHECK IN TO RECEIVE YOUR BADGE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL JEOPARDIZE YOUR REGISTRATION.


Will speaker presentations be available after the conference?

Keynote address presentations may be available online at the Summit website within 2 weeks of the conference.  This is conditional upon if the presenter approves their distribution. If you are interested in the slides from one of the concurrent sessions, please send your request to Please note that some speakers do not allow their slides to be distributed.
